Cedric Sharpleys drum kit is up for auction

Cedric Sharpley's drum kit is up for auction, this piece of Numan history could be yours, estimated to go for 1,000 GBP - 2,000 GBP.


The drum kit was played in the late 70's and throughout the 80's whilst drummer with Gary Numan and The Tubeway Army. Cedric and this kit were responsible for the drum sound that is synonymous with all Gary Numan and the Tubeway Army tracks. It features on videos for their big hits such as "Cars" and was used on all of their tours during the 70's and 80's. This Tama fibreglass kit from c1979 includes a full set of concert toms (6,8,10,12,13,14,15 and 16"), an 18" floor tom (missing bottom rim), a 24" bass drum (missing front hoop), a 14" steel snare, drum stool, snare stand, drum pedal, 3 cymbal stands, 3 tom stands and a hat stand. Includes a letter of provenance from the vendor who was good friends with Cedric.
