At some point in 1982 Numan was approached to sing a radio jingle for the soft drink giant 7-up, with the company offering £10,000 for his services. Gary felt it was too good an opportunity to ignore and duly obliged, however the three pieces of music he provided were rejected and the whole project fell through. In recent years the three demo tracks appeared on the internet in mp3 format. The tracks are the rarest unofficial Numan recordings available, so rare that Beggars Banquet have no knowledge of them.
