FORUM & CHAT ROOM RULES - Please read before posting
We welcome you to participate in the Numanme Community, however as with all social circles there are a few rules you must abide by in order to maintain your active membership within these message boards. We try to provide the highest quality community experience for all of our members and following these guidelines is the best way to maintain a quality environment for all age groups. If we find that you break any of these rules, your account may be disabled or deleted and your posting privileges removed. These rules must be fully understood by all members, so we recommend you read them fully thanks for your cooperation.
This forum is moderated, and if the moderator sees a post that he or she think dose not comply with the rules then it is deleted or closed without an explanation, as for the topics only I (forum admin) can delete them. This is very important for every member to take on board, so I don’t have to waste time with pointless posts.

1 - Anyone using any material towards Gary Numan or his family, which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, or inflammatory just to annoy other members or Gary Numan. This includes members that post negative comments about Gary in every post just for the fun of it you will have your post deleted immediately without any warning or explanation!
2 - Personal Attacks: Numanme will not tolerate Personal Attacks on members or members. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws. Do not use objectionable language. Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people. This includes members that post negative comments in every post just for the fun of it. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
3 - All members must have a valid email address. If not you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
4 - Post in the right forum! You may have your post deleted if you post in the wrong forum!
5 - Use descriptive Topic Subject. This will help others find what they want to read. Topics with bad Topic subjects maybe deleted!
6 - Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
7 - No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments. Do not post links to sites with pornographic or objectionable content. Only link to sites that are for family viewing only. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
8 - Politics and Religion. This is not a political or religious site, this is Gary Numan website please do not post on any issue that can be considered as political or religious as someone will always be offended. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
9 - Each forum member may have only one account. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
10 - NO Blatant Advertising. This forum is not a free advertising space. Except Numan sites you are more than welcome to post news about your site here. NO Spamming. No commercial posts or flooding the forum with useless content. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
11 - No Cap Locks. Please do not post messages with the subject or post all in capital letters, or your message will be deleted. Words all in capitals are not only annoying but are read 50% slower than normal writing. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
12 - Signatures will be no longer than 4 lines• Signatures may contain 1 image (max. 250 x 100pixels). Signatures may contain a link to your personal site or sites that maybe of use to other members, No Blatant advertising! Signatures are expected to follow the same guidelines as posts. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
13 - If a member has a disagreement with another member they must settle the difference by private email, and not by the Private Message function or by post on the
forum. Neither should the Chat room be used as a rant room. If you do you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!
14 - Message content. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages. Numanme takes no responsibility for the content of any of the messages posted in these forums or of the authenticity of its authors. All opinions and views expressed in the Numanme forums are solely those of their respective authors and are not necessarily those of Numanme or its representatives. By posting on the Numanme forum, you agree to abide by the rules and terms.
15 - If you do find a page, which breaks one of these rules, please report it by Email, PM or hit the report button of the offending message.
If you are found breaking any of the rules you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings or explanations given! So if you do find your account disabled or deleted please don’t email Numanme for any kind of explanation.
16 - Numanme reserves the right to change the aforementioned rules at any time without warning or notice. It is the responsibility of the forum member to check this page on a regular basis for any revisions in Numanme rules before making any posts to the forum.
17 - Any post containing material defamatory about any other Gary
Numan fan site or forum will be deleted immediately without any
warning or explanation!
18 - Members are responsible/liable for the content they post or PM. [This is a public forum thus you can be held legally liable for whatever you post on Numanme.]
Freedom of speech is not using vulgar words which are offensive to others, calling members names like idiot.. Would you want to be called an idiot???? Of course not because it hurts...That's why we have to censor, avoid using vulgar words. We have been given freedom of speech but it doesn't mean we can say anything, even those offensive things... We have to be responsible in using this freedom, we have been given. Freedom doesn't mean we can do whatever we want: we can’t punch the person we hate because we have freedom... That's a big NO. Remember, freedom, our freedom is not absolute... Freedom is coupled with responsibility!!!!!!
To answer the main question of freedom of speech on Numanme: No, you do not have absolute freedom of speech at Numanme. Your freedom of speech is limited by the Numanme rules. If you can't handle that, then this is not the forum for you. There are plenty of other forums out there where there are no rules or where the rules are not enforced at all, where people flame each other left and right. Numanme is not one of those forums. The rules are clear and fair. Without them, this place would just degenerate into something similar to Other Boards, Numanme believes with the proper Moderators and with intelligent thought out posts by its members, and without inflammatory remarks the forum will flourish.
